Eastbourne Heritage Centre
Opening Times: Daily 2pm to 5pm
Special arrangements can be made for groups at other times.
Entrance Fee is £1 -
The Military Museum of Sussex
South East England’s largest military museum with thousands of objects covering 300 years of conflict on land, sea and air. Many other events taking place during the summer including 1812 military band concerts and living history events.
Opening Times:
1st April to 5th November: Open daily 9.30am to 5.30pm (last entry to the museum 4.45pm).
Charges:
Adults £3.00. Concessions £2.50. -
RNLI Lifeboat Museum
The history of Eastbourne’s Lifeboats from 1853 onwards. Many photos with descriptive text, including some epic rescues. Various items of lifeboat memorabilia. Fine selection of lifeboat models. Well stocked souvenir shop.
Opening Times:
25th March to 26th October 10am to 5pm;
27th October to 2nd January 2004 10am to 4pm.
Charges: FREE admission. -
Towner Art Gallery & Local Museum
Housed in an elegant 18th Century building, the Towner houses a fine collection of mainly 19th & 20th Century British Art, including the work of Eric Ravilious. A lively and innovative programme of exhibitions and events ensures that there is always something to see and plenty to do. The Museum traces the history of Eastbourne from prehistoric origins to its heyday as a premier holiday resort.
Charges: FREE admission – small charge for some specific exhibitions.
