Eastbourne Walks
Eastbourne is set at the foot of the South Downs, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Within minutes of leaving Eastbourne town on foot, by bike or car, you are on the Downs and able to enjoy all that it has to offer.
Stride up to Beachy Head, where you will find Britain’s highest chalk cliff and take in some magnificent breathtaking views of the English Channel.
Or why not check out Cuckmere Haven, a Marine Conservation Area and an ornithologists delight. -
If you are feeling adventurous, why not take to The South Downs Way National Trail, which starts in Eastbourne and runs for over a hundred mile to Winchester.
This trek will take you through some charming villages such as Alfriston and Jevington. Along the way you will see the Seven Sisters and some mystifying chalk figures cut into the hillside – ‘The White Horse’ and the ‘Long Man of Wilmington’.
